big baby turns 5

This year ended up being the year that William wanted his "own" Birthday.  I don't blame him honestly.  After all, there really is only one day a year where you, and just you, can be celebrated.  I LOVE doing this for my kids on their Birthday's, and I also wanted a day to just focus on William as well.

I gave William the option of celebrating on our actual Birthday, and I would take a different day, or letting him celebrate.

He was thrilled with the idea of having his Birthday one day sooner, so that is what we did!

He literally couldn't fall asleep the night before, and by 11:00, I was exhausted and needed to begin decorating, whether he was awake or not.

I made him keep his eyes closed, as I decorated, and he eventually feel asleep (after taking a few sneek peeks)

He was up at 6:30 am the next morning, begging top open presents!  He cracks me up.  We made him wait until everyone was awake, and finally let him dig in.

He also got his favorite breakfast, a cinnamon roll donut.  Love this kid!

We hung out for a while, and then headed off to Kamas pool.

I admit, I was terrified to take all 5 kids by myself to a swimming pool, but it is what William really wanted to do, so I went for it.

We invited a bunch of friends, and took off.  We got William his favorite lunch (breadsticks at Little Ceasers) and Subway for everyone else.  Then, it was off  to the pool.
We totally lucked out!  There was only one other family in the pool!  It worked out perfectly.

The kids swam like crazy, and once we were all completely exhausted, we headed home.

Once we got home, we hung out a little more, and then Ben took William to the store for our new tradition.  We let the kids use money they get for their Birthday to pick out anything they want from the store.  It is quickly becoming a favorite tradition.  :)

William spent 45 minutes deciding!!!  He cracks me up.

He came home to light up balloons and a donut birthday cake.

"someone" thought it was their Birthday. haha

the re-do for the real Birthday boy.

Every time I told him to smile for the camera, he did this pose!!  He seriously cracks me up!

William continues to be our most lovey, squishy, soft hearted, sunshine boy.  He is definitely a little buddy, and always has something hilarious to say.

He has a happy heart and a fun loving personality.

He is extremely particular about his clothes.  He refuses to wear underwear.  He cries when I have to wash his favorite shirt and shorts (that he wears for days at a time).  He does not wear socks with his church shoes.  He wears a tie with his polo shirt to church.  He changes his clothes every time he gets ANYTHING on them...including one drop of water.

He loves donuts, watermelon, chicken enchalidas, and ice cream cookie sandwiches.

His best buddies are Logan, Hagen, Ryker, Camden, and Dawson.

He just completed duel immersion preschool, and can sing all sorts of songs in Spanish.  It is absolutely adorable, especially with his lisp he is still hanging on to a little bit.  He will be an official kindergartner this fall, and will continue learning Spanish.

He gives amazing hugs, he is always warm, he has fuzzy white hair, and gorgeous almond shaped blue eyes.

We love William so much.  He came to us as a bright sunshine, after an extremely hard year of heartache and sickness.  He was our beacon of hope when I found out I was pregnant with him, and his arrival brought so much joy and happiness into our lives.

He came out a big bundle of 9.5 pounds of chubby, squishy, baby goodness.

He keeps us laughing, he keeps us full of hugs and snuggles, he keeps us on our toes, and he keeps us smiling.

I love that we share a Birthday, and all that it symbolizes.  There is something so special and neat about sharing such a sweet day with someone you love so much.

We love you William!!!  Happy 5th Birthday!
