we have a connection

Luke and Tucker made the "internet" at the beginning of this summer.  It has held out so far.  We love it...hahaha!!!!

camps

Summer started off with Mary going to girls camp and Sam going to scout camp.  There were no phones allowed at girls camp, but Mary had a great time!  She said it was her favorite girls camp so far.  She was asked to speak about it in Sacrament meeting the following week, and she gave a great talk!  I was so proud of her.

This was Sam's first week long Scout Camp, so he didn't quite know what to think.  He came home so excited and saying that it was the best week ever.  He absolutely had the time of his life!  His leaders sent pictures to us throughout the week of things the boys were doing.  It sounded like so much fun.  I am so glad Sam had such a great experience!

A week before scout camp, Sam finished up his soccer season.  He was on such a great team with phenomenal coaches.  They definitely struggled this year, but the second half was much better than the first.  Sam's soccer playing improved a ton!  He had a great team with some really good boys.  It was sad to see the season end, but he is already back at it, with his new team for the year.

demolition derby

This weekend our neighbors gave us free tickets and awesome seats to the demolition derby!  It is about as loud, crazy, white trash, dirt flying, engines revving, smashing, crashing, and fun as it gets.  To top it off, Mary's summer job is to be the camera girl for the Wasatch County Events, so she was doing the camerawork for the jumbotron at the Derby.  It was so fun to see her in action!

To top it off, our neighbor boy, Tucker, was entered to do the Derby Doo.  It is a derby race that the kids can do with powerwheels cars and trucks.  Tucker invited Luke to be his wingman.  They spent all afternoon Saturday washing the powerwheels and getting it ready.  They had an absolute blast, and felt like the kings of the hill!  What a great memory for Luke and Tucker!

Oh man, I love where we live!

Speaking of Derby's, since it is the last year of Scouts, Luke was able to join William in the pinewood derby this year for scouts.  The really got into designing and painting their cars.  They had so much fun racing them.  I am so glad Luke was able to experience this.  I love the scouting program, and I will be so sad to see it go.

s&s reunion 2019

This year for my family reunion, we stayed at a cabin in Island Park for a few days, and then went to the ranch house in Tetonia for a few days.  Everyone was there, aside from Tyler this time.  Once again, we played HARD!

At the cabin we played on the lake, boated, had a huge pirate extravaganza, played pool, played games, talked, laughed, watched movies, watched an outside movie, I went on a beautiful long run, and the kids played and played and played with their cousins.  It was a beautiful place and an amazing cabin.

On Sunday, after we left the cabin, and on our way to Tetonia, we stopped at Mesa Falls.  This is where Ben proposed to me!  It was fun to be able to show the kids.
Once we got to Tetonia we explored the ranch a little, played games, hung out, and we spent one day at Pack Saddle Lake.  It was beautiful and had this crazy ghetto diving board and rope swing.  We had so much fun there! I taught a few VIPKid classes there one morning, and I had the most spectacular view while I was teaching.  It was amazing.
that would be me...totally freaked out up on a very shaky diving board.
