Mary did the mini-Waspette clinic at the High School again this year.
The High School dance team teaches each group of girls a dance, according to their grade, and they perform it at a huge spectacular/showcase.
The first year Mary did it, she really wanted to do a back-hand-spring, and she did.
She made a goal to be able to do more than one the next year.
The following year, she hit her goal, and did 4 back-hand-springs in the dance. She then made a goal to do a back flip the next year.
This year, she did a back flip in the dance!
I love that Mary sets goals, and works hard toward them.
She really likes to dance, and she enjoys the dancing aspect of the clinic also. She looked so cute out there.
It was definitely crazy this year, because the performance started at 7:00pm and was not over until 9:30pm. Mary's group was the last to perform, and we had Eli with us...so we sat in the packed gym, with 4 kids under the age of 5, as well as Sam, for 2 1/2 hours. Most of that time was past bed-time.
It was definitely crazy, but it was worth it to support Mary.
I think Ben and I were more exhausted than the kids by the time we got home.
Go Waspettes!
